you are not in church, you are not deceived
I was very upset by the comments of incredulous readers to the post “You deserve the best” - about the actor who lived in the waiting room of a large number:
- The door from the bathroom to the hallway also looks a little believable
- the story is so implausible that it deserves an assessment of "x: yvaya"
- I have never been able to call in a room inside which the doors would be locked
- people unable to distinguish the door from the closet are hardly worthy of the best.
- The story is so stupid and ridiculous that even as a parable is no good
- always in all normal hotels in the suites escorted and, when checking in, conduct a review of the room, if the guest is the first time
- Ah, Mitrich. Here at this moment I am completely disappointed in you.
I’ll try to explain now what I didn’t like about these comments.
The fact is that any good human quality, brought to the absolute, turns into negative:
instead of frugality it turns out
courage turns into arrogance
forethought may turn into cowardice
vengefulness takes root in justice ...
The critical approach is great. Doubt is generally the basis of thinking, and factchiving is our everything. But do not bring these wonderful qualities to the extreme, it turns into suspicion. It has reached the point that it is no longer possible to say a single kind word about a person, vigilant readers will immediately see this PR. You cannot speak well of any company — people see through the author — this is a hidden advertisement. Are you not tired of your vigilance?
In life there are absolutely incredible events. I myself got into the silliest situations, which is embarrassing to even talk about. I have been to hundreds of hotels and believe that it’s not always that even a guest room’s porter is holding a guest - this is rather an exception to the rule. Imagine, for example, a situation where a large delegation is immediately settled in a hotel - the hotel staff will not physically be able to conduct each guest. A person can become so exhausting at work that his only dream will be to reach the room and fall into bed.
I understand that my arguments will not convince you
But just now I received a letter from the reader, with whom a similar story happened.
I will quote the whole letter:
Hello, Dmitry, this is Sergey, a journalist from Denmark - we met at the opening of the ABBA Museum.
I decided to write, after reading reviews on the story of O. Savelyeva about the unlucky actor, - the majority considered it fake. But the fact is that almost the same thing happened to us in Andorra last year. We went there from Spain, and booked a double suite on the way to the Exe Prisma Hotel (Avinguda del Fener, 14, Escaldes-Engordany, AD700)
We climbed to our floor, opened the door and froze - well, yes, indeed, a double room. Wife already confused - and this is a 4-star hotel? I, too, are in misunderstandings. "Okay, - I say, - let's see, while you sit down from the road, I'm in the bathroom" - and turn the door handle (the one on the right in the picture)
The door opens - and behind it the truth, Narnia! It turned out the room gave us a "family", with two children's beds at the entrance. And the bathrooms were also two, - note LJ-shnyh truth-seekers :)
Actually, we were so tired from the road that we were ready to sleep on these orphan beds before going to sort it out at the reception. And we were lucky that I so successfully impatiently :)
