In stunted plants, root pressure is most visible at night or early in the morning, that is, some time after transpiration has ceased, and before it begins to act again with daylight. Root pressure contributes to their life and growth.

Juice will trickle from the stalk incision for several hours or days, and in order to measure its level and advancement under the action of root pressure, a pressure gauge can be used.

Juices accumulate in the root xylem, and then sent to the stems, flowers and leaves. Root pressure of plants is characterized by an active distribution of mineral nutrients and ions in the rhizome.

It gives an effort that pushes water up the stalk, but this is not enough to explain the movement of water into the leaves at the top of the tallest trees.

2. Transpiration. Most of the fluid passes through the holes, which are called stomata. They are on the underside of the leaves. The water moves upwards through the stem due to the pressure of the root, after which the process of transpiration is “turned on” and it is fed to the leaves.

Water is a polar molecule. When its molecules approach each other, they form a hydrogen bond. Water enters the xylem in the roots with the help of osmosis. It constantly evaporates from the surface of the leaves, so it is so important that the water cycle is constant. Without its receipt, plant life is impossible, so root pressure is of great importance for the inhabitants of the green world.
