How to start sewing a winter envelope?
Before you create an envelope for your baby, you must first determine the pattern. In this case, everything will depend on your skill. Accordingly, you can choose a complex or simple pattern. For example, the basis of the product may be a soft blanket. You also need to pre-select the fabric. For example, an envelope for discharge from a maternity hospital (winter) can be made of durable and warm fur fabric.In place of the exterior finish, such material as velvet, fleece and plush will look good. The inner lining of the envelope must be made of natural cotton, flannel or batiste, since these types of fabrics do not irritate the delicate skin of the baby and do not cause allergies.
For insulation products is best to use sintepon. In the process of working on a product, it can be sewn into a peculiar branch in the inner fabric. Suitable instead of padding polyester and holofiber or wool.
How to choose the length of the fabric for the envelope?
We advise you to choose the length at your discretion, depending on the height and size of the baby. In most cases, in order to get a good envelope for discharge from the maternity hospital, it is better to use a fabric measuring 180x150 cm.
What do you need for a warm winter envelope?
To make a winter envelope you will need the following:
- ordinary white thread;
- thick fabric raincoat;
- 12 buttons;
- rolled synthetic winterizer;
Before you sew an envelope on an extract from the maternity hospital with your own hands, you must either draw or print the finished pattern on paper. For example, according to the pattern, you should have three main details.In this case, the first part is made in triplicate: a synthetic winterizer, fleece and raincoat fabric. It will have a length of 85 cm and a width of 42 cm (also three parts). The indent from the line of attaching the side valve will be equal to 8 cm. The size of the second part will be - 42 cm in width and 60 cm in length. The third part is the side flap. It must be done in four copies (two parts of a raincoat fabric and two of fleece) with a length of 44 cm and a width of 6 cm.
How to sew the details of the envelope?
After all the details are cut out and ready to get a full envelope on an extract from the hospital with your own hands (the patterns you will find on this page), you must correctly sew them. In the first stage, combine fleece and insulation, stitch on a sewing machine. In the second stage, you need to combine the front side of the side flaps and stitch them, letting the line of 7 mm. Then unscrew the stitched parts and lay a finishing line of 7-10 mm along their outer edge. Smooth the seam neatly.
Prepare loops and ties for the future envelope in advance. For this purpose, we advise you to pre-cut a long strip 2.5 cm wide from the raincoat fabric. Fold it in half, remove the inside sections and sew approximately 2-2.5 mm from the edge of the fabric.Later, 12 equal parts can be made from this strip, each of which is 5-6 cm long. These parts will be an excellent material for loops and ties (they are usually made of arbitrary length and tied with a small knot at the end).
After all minor parts are sewn, valves must be sewn to the sides of the inner part of part 1 of the product. Then the next envelope on an extract from the maternity hospital (everyone can do it with their own hands if they wish) turns around, and loops are attached to it. In this case, the distance from one to the next loop should not be more than 6 cm. By analogy, other parts are stitched together. Then everything is ironed and straightened.

How to tie an envelope for babies?

To do this, you need to purchase 200-250 g of acrylic yarn, prepare a 54 cm long zipper, 3-4 buttons and knitting needles No. 3 and No. 5.
Next, select the appropriate pattern, for example, you can use the shawl and "rice" mating. In the first case, the thread is knitted with face loops, and in the second, alternation occurs: first, the front thread, and then the purl (1 row), after the facial loop, it is twisted and then (vice versa), etc. The density of all knitting will be 10 cm or 20 loops. In total, you need to dial 64 loops at once, knit them with a garter stitch of about 3-4 rows, make buttonhole holes, and then continue the garter stitch again.
When you already knit 42 loops, it is necessary to knit “rice” viscous further until the width of the product does not increase to 42 cm. After that, close the loops, make armholes and knit straight. Make a neck and sew the seams, and then tie the hood. At the end of the work will only sew a zipper and sew buttons.
For crocheting an envelope, use 150 g of acrylic yarn, a piece of fur (artificial) 75-80 cm long and 10-15 cm wide, 25 cm zipper for fastener and hook No. 4. Dial a chain of 65 air loops.
- 1st row: first knit two air loops, then 2 double crochets (thread them into the third loop), one air loop and a single crochet by each, end the row with single crochets.
- 2nd row: make a pair of air loops, 2 double crochets, 1 airy loop, 2 double crochets, 1 crochet, finish knit the second row with a double crochet.
- 3 row: knit 3 air loops, 2 double crochets, 1 air loop, 1 double crochet, 1 air loop, 2 double crochets, finish with double crochet.
The overall density of knitting should be 10 cm (23 loops). All individual parts knit with a random pattern, sew. Add a hood to the received envelope, sew a zipper, make a fur trim.
